I build the tools that build the training.

Instructional designer who built an AI course authoring platform and a skills-based LMS from scratch.

Platforms I Created

Most people pick a tool and work within its limits. I designed two full-stack platforms from scratch to solve real problems in learning and development.

AI-Powered Course Authoring

Coursewright

A full-stack course authoring platform where you describe your course and an AI pipeline builds it, complete with lessons, assessments, and media. Includes a rich interactive editor for hands-on refinement.

Skills-Based Learning Management

Powerlevel

A skills-first LMS built on real labor market data from O*NET and Lightcast, with portable credentials, RPG-style gamification, and an AI tutor named Lucari that teaches, not just quizzes. Courses authored in Coursewright feed directly into Powerlevel. The two platforms connect.

About Me

Most instructional designers work inside the tools they're given. I write the tools.

I've built training across corporate retail, cannabis compliance (including the industry's first ANSI-accredited certification program under ASTM D8403-21), and higher education. Every environment had the same problem: the platforms couldn't keep up with what good design actually demands. So I stopped waiting and started building.

Coursewright is an AI-powered authoring platform that generates full course structures from a briefing, with 31+ block types, a storyline editor, SCORM cloud export, and an adaptive intelligence engine that scores and self-corrects output quality. Powerlevel is a B2C skills passport built on data from 2,700+ occupations, with BKT-driven mastery tracking, Open Badges 3.0 credentials, and an AI tutor named Lucari that doesn't just quiz you; it teaches. Both are live. Both are mine.

I work from first principles: Action Mapping before slide decks, Bloom's before bullet points, assessment integrity before completion rates. I design AI-resistant evaluations because if the way you test people can be passed by a chatbot, it wasn't measuring anything of value to begin with.

I'm looking for teams that treat instructional design as a discipline, not a content assembly line. If your L&D org thinks “innovative” means adding a Canva template to a slide deck, I'm not your guy. If you're building something that actually moves the needle on human performance, let's talk.
